- Understanding and Removing Curses and Other Negative Workings
Although devotion to your faith and positive energy and positive outlook are great starting points, they are not always enough to ensure safety. More often than not, fears and emotional distress account for most of the reports of being cursed. People with enough power and skill and the temperament to cast an effective curse are rare, but they do exist. It does seem that as more information on magick has become easy to obtain that there are more dabblers in the Dark Arts, and their efforts can also be troublesome. This workshop teaches straightforward ways to detect, to guard against, and to remove negative spells, workings, entities, atmospheres, and energies that are unwholesome.
Ivo will give a quick overview of the nature of intentional and unintentional negative workings. He'll share divinatory and diagnostic techniques to determine a proper course of action for their removal. He will also cover crossed-conditions and self-cursing and how to heal those problems. We will spend some time discussing cursed objects and places, as well as the ethics of preventing, clearing, and binding in the context of negative workings. There will also be suggestions on how to find competent and professional help when simple measures are not enough.
- Introduction to the Runes
This workshop provides an overview of the Runes, known as the Elder Futhark. We will briefly take a look at the history of the Runes, their roots, and how they relate to our world and other systems of magick. This workshop is not taught from a Heathen perspective, it is taught from the perspective that the Runes are inherently powerful and not limited to one system or pantheon. Most people first hear of the Runes as a system of divination. The glyphs and symbols of divination are intimately connected to the flow of energy we wield within magick. In fact, there truly is little difference between the tools of divination and the tools of magick. This workshop will provide examples of the use of the Elder Futhark in divination, magick, and healing.
Ivo will present an outline and a plan of study that will allow you to approach learning the Runes in a more orderly fashion after the class. He will also share some of the more esoteric meanings of the Runes to expand the way you think of them and their practical application. During the class, we will do a quick reading, use the Runes in a working, and offer healing with them as well. If you already have a Rune set, please bring them, otherwise, there will be sets available the day of the class.
These classes are offered on Saturday, June 11, 2016. Understanding and Removing Curses and Other Negative Workings will run from 10.30am until 12.30pm, we will have a lunch break, and Introduction to Runes will run from 1.30pm until 3.30pm. Non-refundable tuition for both classes is $100.00. Afterwards, Ivo will give a free talk on his new book, Practical Astrology for Witches and Pagans, which will be open to anyone who wishes to attend.

Ivo Dominguez, Jr. is a visionary and a practitioner of a variety of esoteric disciplines. He has been active in Wicca and the Pagan Community since 1978 and has been teaching since 1982. Ivo was a founding member of the first coven of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel, a Wiccan Tradition where he currently serves as one of its Elders. The Assembly of the Sacred Wheel is a Wiccan syncretic tradition that draws inspiration from Astrology, Qabala, the Western Magickal Tradition, and the folk religions of Europe.
